Common questions

What separates light housekeeping from cleaning?

Light housekeeping keeps the rooms someone actually lives in orderly and safe: dishes, laundry, surfaces, clear floors. It does not extend to scrubbing a bathroom top to bottom, moving furniture, windows, carpets, or anything needing ladders or heavy lifting.

Will the whole house be cleaned?

No, and that is deliberate. The focus is the space in daily use, usually the kitchen, the main living area, the bedroom, and the paths between them. Rooms that are not being used are left alone.

Does this replace a cleaning service?

Not for a deep clean. Plenty of families keep a cleaner for the heavy work and use companion visits for the day to day tidying that otherwise accumulates in between.

Why is housekeeping part of care at all?

Because clutter on a floor is a fall risk, and a kitchen that has become unmanageable is often the first visible sign that someone is struggling. Keeping a home orderly is as much about safety as appearance.
